How soon can I be seen?

Often we can get clients in the same day that they call! However, the severity of your case, your budget, and our existing schedule are all contributing factors. Give us a call to schedule an appointment.

What treats do you use?

Almost every pup loves Rachael Ray Nutrish: Savory Roasters, which can be found at Walmart.

Our kitty friends love Churu puree treats, which can be found at Petco, or Amazon.

Can I bring my dog in to say hi?

We encourage people to bring in their dogs to socialize with us and help them feel that the vet's isn't so scary. However, if you stop by and the parking lot seems full, we ask that you come back when we aren't so busy so we can give the proper attention to our clients (and you!). If you're unsure, give us a call before hand!

Do you offer payment plans?

Unfortunately, we do not offer payment plans or accept Care-Credit, and ask that you pay at time of service. We try to be mindful of everyone's budget and will go over prices and estimates. There are also many programs dedicated to helping pet owners pay for the vets. Here's a great place to get started:

Are you hiring?

Shoot us an email with your resume and availability. Cover letters aren't required but might help you stand out! We'll get an interview scheduled and go from there!

Can I come shadow?

Shoot us an email with your resume and availability. We'll likely schedule an interview beforehand.

Is there an OTC flea and tick product you recommend?

Bravecto is best, but we understand prescription prices aren't practical for everyone. If you're going for a store-bought product, it's best to do some research first.

But, stay away from Hartz. Hartz flea/tick treatments and "medicated" shampoos specifically have been known to cause severe allergic reactions, burns, and even death in animals.

Do you offer grooming or boarding?

Unfortunately, no we do not. We'll only keep an animal overnight for medical surveillance and/or hospitalization.

We do offer lion cuts (with sedation) and sanitary trims, but we can't promise they'll be pretty!

I don't have a car, can I get a ride?

We offer a pet-taxi for $20 one way. We'll send an employee over to your place to pick you up and/or drop you off, within Pullman city limits.

Why do I need a yearly exam?

Vaccines and dewormer do best when done on a yearly basis.

Coming in regularly gives Dr. Durham the chance to monitor your pets health, and make sure nothing concerning has developed.

If anything happens, we need a current exam to give any prescriptions, including the Science Hill Diet foods we offer, Bravecto, dewormer, and other treatments.

What do I do if I'm worried about my pet over the weekend?

We're a general practice, so there's a limit to what we can help you with.

We're closed on the weekends and major holidays, so if something that seems dire comes up, we recommend you go to an emergency vet rather than waiting for us to open again. Specific signs to look for are: lethargy, gray/pale gums, not eating, not going to the bathroom, (I know there's more).

WSU has a 24 hour emergency vet, but there are also others like Southway Animal Clinic in the LC Valley, and a couple in the Spokane and Coeur D'Alene area.

Why does my pet need their teeth cleaned?

Oral health is closely related to heart health. If your pet has plaque/tartar buildup, it can cause decay, which can go from the gums to the heart.

Decay will also prevent your pet from eating properly, may affect their mood, and generally smells pretty bad.

Regular cleaning helps to prevent this buildup, and if you come in yearly, Dr. Durham will let you know when your pet needs a dental.
